Pacing myself

This won’t be the most exciting blog but I want to try and post every day if I can. So I’m sorry for missing yesterday.

Every morning I wake up and think to myself, “what am I going to do today?” And then I realize that I don’t have to do everything in the first couple of weeks. I have five months.

This week will see me getting into a slightly more structured routine. I have a meeting on Thursday with the owner of the restaurant to firm up the details of my 2 week trial. So far this morning, I have been busy submitting bids for some more freelance work.

I’m going to take a break from the beach today. The sun yesterday was scorching and I’m still feeling drained. It is a bank holiday here so nothing is open. Which is fine.  I’ll spend the afternoon working on a sample article for a prospective client and then I will meet Shawn for a drink later. Sounds like a perfect day to me.

Any day that you wake up in Barbados is perfect day. Even if your blog doesn’t sound interesting to you, it is to me and will be invaluable to you when you return
